Location: Kinsmen Sport Centre - Aquatics, Edmonton Address: 9100 Walterdale Hill Dates: Usually November through to May ( in 2020: Jan 4, 11, 25, no dates in Feb, Mar 7 & 28, April 11, May 2/20, balance of dates for Nov/Dec 2020 TBD) Time: 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm What: Scuba fun pool practice time Who: Certified divers only (must bring & show your scuba certification card) Cost: AUC Member Price $10, Non Member: $15 PLUS must bring all own gear including tanks, weights, etc.  Be sure to contact your local favourite dive shop for their scuba gear/tank rental options. Hosted by: Alberta Underwater Council (and our volunteers) RSVP: not required, drop-in for all or any of your choice of available dates, pay $10 (member price) to volunteer on deck or $15 (non member), note AUC memberships only $20 per person per year. Great opportunity for certified divers to practice over the winter months or before their next dive holiday in Edmonton's deepest aquatic facility (15 ft deep). -PLUS: Familiarize yourself with newly purchased or rented dive gear Save the reef & practice in the pool with a new u/w camera or get better photos, faster! Before your upcoming dive trip! Figure it out your camera controls before your dive trip. Practice your buoyancy Get properly weighted for upcoming trip Practice deploying an SMB (surface marker buoy) Practice buddy skills, life saving scuba skills - mask clearing, air-sharing, ditching weights, etc Practice with your drysuit before spring/sumer diving season starts
